Jason Voorhees Arrives in Mortal Kombat X Starting May 5

The creators of Mortal Kombat X released the very first DLC pack for their extremely popular fighting game, and the pack includes a bonus character named Jason Voorhees. Those of you who are familiar with the Friday the 13th film franchise will immediately recognize Jason as the Crystal Lake terror. It makes sense that a famous horror film character would enter the Mortal Kombat X universe, as Freddy Krueger was also featured in the game’s previous version from 2011.

In the game, Jason is equipped with a deadly machete, and he is shown giving out some painful-looking punishment with it in a recently released trailer. The Crystal Lake terror boasts three different play styles named Unstoppable, Relentless and Slasher, each version featuring its own unique abilities. The DLC also comprises something called the Horror Pack, which contains scary-looking themes for Ermac, Reptile and Mileena. Those who don’t already own the Kombat Pack will be able to purchase the entire bundle come May 12 for $8. Jason can be purchased separately for $5, while the skins cost $4.

The entire Kombat Pack is priced at $29.99, and it guarantees early access to all future DLC. Upcoming characters include Predator, Tanya and Tremor. You can watch the trailer for Jason Voorhees by clicking below.
