Final Thoughts
As HTPC’s become more of a necessity in this world, more people are looking for an all-in-one solution with no frills and this board offers exactly that, with a dual core 1.6GHz solution, ample memory slots and various connections giving you everything that you need and nothing that you don’t.
There are a few downsides, which is mainly in the HD graphics department, as its only connector is in the form of VGA/D-SUB and with no PCI-Express slot, you will have to take a trip down memory lane to get a bit more out of your system.
There is a great benefit of a board like this, as it gives low power consumption, meaning less heat output which is always favoured by HTPC and similar type systems that this board will make use of and with a 12V DC power port as opposed to a conventional power supply, it also frees up space inside your chassis.
Overall, we still believe that Atom has some life in it yet, but it will need to watch out as AMD Fusion becomes ever so more popular with the masses.
