Jez San, who founded Argonaut Games behind the Croc series of games for the PlayStation, has revealed that an HD remake of the 1997 classic is in the works.
Croc is a classic game which despite my age I remember playing on my brother’s PlayStation and is one of my most notable memories from the PlayStation especially for that slightly creepy feeling that older games had. Back in 2018, we saw the Spyro remaster and now Jez San behind Argonaut Games is giving Croc the same treatment as announced on Twitter the other day. In a post replying to James Batchelor on his article talking about the classic game, saying that “‘Croc HD’ has started early development”. San does admit that it is a little premature to announce meaning it may be a while before we see actual information surrounding the game but the fact that it is in the works is great news for fans.
The only downside to a remaster is that it loses some of the charm especially that creepy feel that some old games have, though that could just be me who thinks that. What do you think of a Croc Remaster? let us know in the comments.
