Just Cause 3 – Free to Play for the Next 24 hours!

As part of an exclusively short time offer. Just Cause 3 is available to play for free, but just for the next 24 hours. If you fancy a free go at this decent adventure game, now is the time to act!

Just Cause 3 – Good – Free is better!

As part of a special offer on Steam, Just Cause 3 is being offered for the next 24 hours as a free trial. This in itself isn’t unusual, we just had an excellent free weekend with Doom.

While Just Cause 3 isn’t on the same level as Doom (little has been in recent memory), it’s still well worth a go and let’s face it, the price is right.

There are of course a few caveats to this game. For example is 24 hours really long enough to play this game to get to know it well? Probably not. It is one of those Sprawling open world adventures, not dissimilar to Far Cry, except, in my opinion, not as good.

Is Just Cause 3 any good?

Short answer yes, long answer yes, but…

Just Cause 3 had potential to be a great game but suffered from an all too common problem. It was simply rushed to release and suffers, to this day, with bugs and glitches.

One of the most praised aspects of the game is the open world, which is excellent, however, the glitches when they appear are very frustrating.

A review on Steam says the following, and it’s hard to disagree:

Endless loading screens………………….. check.
Endless pointless cut-scenes…………… check.
Bad performance…………………………… check.
Horrible voice acting……………………… check.
Unlikeable character………………………. check.

While a little harsh maybe, this isn’t far from the truth. My review is simply, it should have been better than it is.

Should I bother?

Yes, and I’ll tell you for why. If you hate it, the trial has cost you nothing. If you love it, or like it enough to want to play more, there is a sale currently on.

The Steam page currently has the game on sale for £7.49. That’s not bad for this game. Yes, it has its problems, but for less than £10.00 you will see some value here. The expansions backs and bundles are also available for less than £15.00 so check this out. It might not be for you, but you’ll struggle to find value for any less.

The link to the Steam Page can be found here with the trailer below. Check it out!
