Just Cause 4 Announce Official PC Requirements

Just Cause 4 Announce Official PC Requirements

After the somewhat disappointing affair that was Just Cause 3, fans of the series are certainly hoping for a little bit more from the 4th instalment. In fairness, from what we’ve seen to date, so far it’s looking fairly decent. While we will hold fire in any judgement until it releases, in a report via DSOGaming, we do, at least now know the official PC requirements for Just Cause 4.

The official game is described as “Rogue agent Rico Rodriguez journeys to Solis, a huge South American world home of conflict, oppression and extreme weather conditions. Strap into your wingsuit, equip your fully customizable grappling hook, and get ready to bring the thunder!”

So, in terms of system requirements, how will your system fare? Let’s see!

Official Requirements!

MINIMUM:

    • OS: Windows 7 SP1 with Platform Update for Windows 7 (64-bit versions only)
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.1 GHz | AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz or better
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (2GB VRAM or better) | AMD R9 270 (2GB VRAM or better)
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 59 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

    • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3.4 GHz | AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz or equivalent
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (6GB VRAM or better) | AMD Vega 56 (6GB VRAM or better)
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 59 GB available space

What Do We Think?

While most of the requirements are rather benign, particularly the minimum, the graphics requirements for recommended do seem a little steep. Given the scope of the game, it’s hardly surprising that you’ll need a good GPU, but a Nvidia 1070 or AMD Vega 56 are still, despite their age, excellent cards.

How it will run on something that fits in the middle will clearly be a matter of some interest.
