J&W rolls out Cedar Trail board

The company will offer two ITX boards, the J&W Minix D2700-DC and D2500-DC, based on Intel Atom D2500 or D2700 dual-cores, clocked at 1.86GHz and 2.13GHz respectively. The D2700 is the first to launch, while the D2500 will follow a few weeks later.
Luckily, J&W spared no expense and both boards feature an all-solid capacitor design, with two USB 3.0 ports courtesy of a Renesas controllers and HDMI. They also feature 5.1 audio, VGA, Broadcom dual-gigabit LAN, one PCIe x1 slot and two DDR3 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 8GB of DDR3 1066, although Intel only recommends 4GB.
The board is passively cooled and a DC power input is also on board, so it is possible to use external power bricks for a completely silent system.
The company is also launching a barebone based on the new boards. It measures 192 x 186 x 60mm, so it is not the smallest nettop out there, but it is based on a standard ITX board after all. It features a single 2.5-inch drive bay and ships with a VESA mount.
