Ken Block Presents: Gymkhana Six To Celebrade Need for Speed Rivals

Need for Speed and Ken Block present: Gymkhana SIX: The Ultimate Gymkhana Grid Course. What better way to build support for EA’s up coming tire shredding racer than to let Ken Block wreck a few tires of his own for out amusement!

“I’m stoked about how Gymkhana SIX has turned out,” said Block. “Obviously we had to go in a different direction this year after conquering San Francisco in Gymkhana FIVE and the tie-in with Gymkhana GRID for me was a natural direction. GRID really challenges me as a driver and the course that we’ve created for this video is an interpretation of what my ultimate GRID course would look like. Hopefully someday we can make a course like this a reality for a Gymkhana GRID competition!”

Ken is already world famous for many things and his Gymkhana videos are a viral video sensation, the sixth installment may not be the best ever in my opinion, but the loose affiliation with computer games here allows me to at least share it with you on eTeknix.

“Need For Speed’s Racing Advisor Ken Block set out to create the ultimate grid, the most visually compelling compact Gymkhana race course ever built. This means all-new obstacles that help raise the level of difficulty for Ken. Things like moving police Lamborghini Aventadors from NFS Rivals, traveling wrecking balls on cranes, narrow doorways cut into the sides of shipping containers to allow complete slides through, and not just one, but two Segway Redview County cops.” – PR

Need for Speed Rivals is the first title from Ghost Games, EA’s newest studio built to take Need for Speed into the next generation. On the streets of Redview County, there’s a non-stop battle brewing between cops and racers for control of the open roads. And in Need for Speed Rivals, players can get behind the wheel of both sides of the law, experiencing this intense rivalry in two entirely distinct career experiences. The game also introduces a new feature that destroys the line between single player, co-op and multiplayer, creating one seamless racing world. With AllDrive, players’ races and chases can collide at any time, which of course could get messy pretty quick, sounds rather cool though.

Need for Speed Rivals will be available November 22 for Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will be launching November 29 for the PlayStation 4 and will be the only racing game launching with the new console this year.
