Kensington Releases QuietType Pro Silent Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

Kensington has released its QuietType Pro Silent Wireless Mechanical Keyboard for those looking for a mechanical keyboard which fits right into the office and won’t annoy your co-workers.

Kensington MK7500F QuietType Pro

Kensington’s QuietType Pro delivers a combination of beauty, durability, and functionality to professionals who desire a premium and quiet typing experience. The board features QuietType keys using Kailh Midnight Pro Silent Tactile Switches with Sound dampening pads. These keys are 15db quieter than traditional mechanical office keyboards reducing distractions during online meetings and the surrounding workspace. The silent keys make this keyboard a perfect gift for Jerry in accounting who keeps bringing in his custom keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches.

Comfortable and Durable

Being comfortable in the office is a key concern and care has been taken to insure that concern is dealt with. The QuietType Pro comes with dual-position feet as well as a gel wrist rest to support all-day comfort and productivity. Additionally, the board is highly durable with an aluminium frame, high-quality laser-etched ABS keycaps and a sealed IPX4-certified spill-proof design. The board has also been designed to meet the MIL-STD-810H Method 504.3 Contamination by fluids, this certification allows users to wipe down the keyboard with common household disinfectants without risking damage to the keyboard.

Additional Productivity Features

Something that makes this board much more appealing towards those who work from home, is the inclusion of dedicated meeting controls on the top left corner. These keys allow for easy control of online meetings with a variety of configurable hotkeys fully compatible with many popular video conferencing applications including Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Hot keys can be configured through the Kensington Konnect software which is compatible with both Windows and macOS.

Wireless Connectivity

The QuietType Pro comes with the flexibility of wireless connectivity allowing users to connect up to five active devices. Through Bluetooth three devices can be connected, one using the 2.4 GHz USB receiver and one using the included USB-A cable which is also used for charging.
