In the UK KFA2’s GTX 750 Ti OC sells for £109.99 which is pretty much as low as GTX 750 Ti graphics card go. In Europe we are seeing pricing of €139.90. In North America the Galaxy equivalent currently retails for $159.99 at the Galaxy store. The KFA2 GTX 750 Ti OC has a 2 year warranty.

Overview

Okay so the first point I want to address is the “low profile” issue. This product is clearly a low profile design and thus most people that will be buying this product will do so for that reason. Let’s face it if you want to overclock or you have a gaming system you’re hardly going to want to put this graphics card in, unless you need a low profile design. If you aren’t space limited there are equivalently priced GTX 750 Ti graphics cards that have better coolers with larger fans and that just look more like gaming graphics cards with more aggressive overclocks. As I mentioned this card does not include a low profile bracket which is a let-down. You can buy the adapter set in the USA for $5.99 from the Galaxy store, in the UK we couldn’t see a KFA2 low profile bracket kit anywhere so we think KFA2 should definitely include these with the product, or at the very least sell the low profile kit at the retailers where this card is sold. We found an ASUS low profile kit with the same rear I/O configuration for £1.21 at Kikatek, this will work fine on this card. You can buy any low profile bracket set as long as one bracket has the same rear I/O config. With that purchase made you now have a fully capable low profile GTX 750 Ti and that’s something that is currently hard to find right now so I know that will interest a lot of people.

Let’s now talk about the rest of the card because I think there is a fair bit to discuss. Firstly, with regards to cooling performance we saw more or less identical temperatures to the reference design and then when you factor in that this card is actually louder than the reference design – it leaves a lot to be desired. Of course, when you consider it’s a low profile card it is easy to overlook that, but KFA2 do not appear to be marketing this as a low profile card. Instead they simply sell it as an OC card without any low profile adapters. For that reason I think it is not possible to overlook the weak cooling and acoustic performance. This card wants to be two different things, an OC card and a low profile card, at the same time and fails to be both. I think KFA2 need to go back to the drawing board with this one and tune it more to be a low profile card. It wouldn’t be difficult, simply including a low profile bracket that is fitted as standard, and marketing the card as low profile should do the trick. They should then use a design like the Galaxy GTX 750 Ti GC as their “OC” SKU product instead of trying to market a low profile card as an OC card. Granted, this card is overclocked and performs better than a reference design, but out-of-the-box that’s about all it has going for it. Its deficiencies can easily be fixed by buying a low profile adapter set but why should you have to buy that separately? I wanted to like this graphics card, but KFA2 really need to make some revisions for this to be a more compelling offering. As it stands I can only recommend this graphics card if you need a low profile design and would be willing to source your own low profile adapter brackets.
