Everybody loves KFC (well almost everybody). However, would you use a KFC-branded smartphone? Well, Chinese mobile phone giant Huawei has made just that! Yes, this is a real thing.
KFC is currently celebrating their 30 year anniversary in China. Of course, what better way to celebrate than by having their own phone? Huawei is releasing a Kentucky Fried Chicken smartphone to the Chinese market.
The KFC phone comes in red with a logo on the back, comes pre-installed with a KFC delivery app. It has access to K-music too – KFC’s own jukebox music service. Specifications are currently unknown. However, we know that it comes with 16gb or 32gb of memory.
“Hardcore KFC fans in China (there are bound to be more than a few) can now own a KFC Phone in a partnership between the chicken chain and Huawei. KFC is releasing the customized Huawei 7 Plus phone to mark its 30 year anniversary in China.” reads the video description.
There are going to be 5,000 units available and the pricing will be 1,099 yuan ($161.91) per unit. What’s more is that they are available for sale from July 13 at their own Tmall stores.
