For those of you with a media center PC, you might be interested to know that Kinect for Media Center is here. This is thanks to Kinect for Windows being properly released, which has pushed Kinect for Media Center out of beta, and into the full version. Kinect for Media Center allows gesture-based control of your Windows Media Center (WMC), as well as voice commands to control WMC.
From there, you can control the addins that run within Windows Media Center such as Netflix, My Movies and Media Browser. The developer behind it says that the addin has been designed so that audio coming from a TV show or music cannot trigger a voice command and that there are tonnes of configuration that you can go through to get it working perfectly for your exact personal setup.
The addin does come at a cost, but it’s not too bad: $6.99. You’ll also require Kinect for Windows. If you want to check out more on Kinect for Media Center, check out the developers website which includes download links as well as more information.
