Kingdom Come Deliverance

Kingdom Come Deliverance

Following its release, Kingdom Come Deliverance has been delighting both fans and critics. In one of those rare examples of a Kickstarter game exceeding expectations, it hasn’t been entirely perfect, but so far, things are pretty good.

While it has undoubtedly been a success, it is possibly even bigger than imagined as current sales for the game has now reportedly topped 1 million units.

One Million Units

In a report via DSOGaming, Kingdom Come Deliverance has managed to sell over one million units in its first month since launch. This is significantly higher than expected, but the figures also reveal another surprising fact.

The PC version of the game, a format which can struggle to compete with consoles, has accounted for nearly 45% of the total sales.

Shaky Launch, but things are getting better

When Kingdom Come Deliverance launched, the game wasn’t perfect. It has, however, seen a number of patches and most recently a hotfix which has improved the overall performance of the game.

If you have been sat on the fence, biding your time, this might now be your time to jump in and find out what all the fuss is about.

What do we think?

I do have this, and in the 3-4 hours I have managed to play so far, the game is very impressive. The ‘tutorial’ mode is pleasantly brief and the game is more than happy to throw you in just as soon as you know the controls, which for PC users are about as familiar as Skyrim or Fallout.

While a medieval RPG might not be your thing, I would definitely suggest you give this a look. Particularly now the patches have corrected some of the more glaring issues.

What is clear though is that if this wasn’t a success before, the sales figures would definitely make it one now.
