Kingmax announced their entry-level PJ3280 PCIe 3×2 SSD two months ago. Now they are following it up with a larger capacity, faster option they are calling the Zeus PX3480.
It shares the same M.2 2280 form factor, compatible with most modern systems supporting the NVMe 1.3 protocol. Since it is an M.2 drive, it also saves on space, requiring no cables to contend with to use. Simply install into an available slot which accepts a 2280 form factor M.2 and you will be set.
In terms of capacity, users can choose between 256GB, 512GB and 1TB models. Expect the read performance on the 1TB model to reach up to 3400MB/s, with up to 3000MB/s write speed.
Understandably, the lower capacity versions have lower write speeds. Although their read speeds are close to the 1TB version. The 512GB version for example reaches up to 3400MB/s read and up to 1950MB/s write speeds. Meanwhile, the lowest capacity 256GB version operates up to 3000MB/s read and up to 1000MB/s write. While that write speed is close to the fastest 512GB PJ3280 model, its read speed is almost twice as fast.
MTBF rate is up to 2 million hours and each drive comes with a 3-year warranty.
