The Kingston HyperX Cloud version I and II are commonly described as two of the best headsets available when it comes to value. Some time ago, Kingston extended their headset line-up and added the HyperX Revolver which received mostly positive reviews although some users felt dissatisfied with the microphone quality. Whatever the case, it’s certainly a solid product and worth considering. Kingston has entered into a partnership to produce a Gears of War version of the HyperX Cloud which coincides with latest game’s launch. As expected, the device features the sam 50mm drivers as before and wide sound stage. The key difference is the gorgeous red colour scheme and iconic Gears of War cog design. Daniel Kelley, director of marketing, HyperX said about the product:
“HyperX is especially excited to offer Gears of War fans the opportunity to enhance their gameplay with our newest headset,”
“We’ve worked hard on the sound and design, and together with Microsoft and The Coalition, this headset gives gamers the full Gears experience.”

The Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Gears of War headset comes with a 2-year warranty and should be available from leading stores very soon. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to source any details on the price point, but I’m expecting it to be fairly close to the original Cloud Revolver model.
