Kingston & QPAD Join Forces To Create HyperX Cloud Headset

Kingston, who are better known for the memory and storage products than audio, have teamed up with QPAD to create their new headset, the HyperX Cloud. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kingston team up to make a headset, it was only last year that SteelSeries and Kingston launched an exclusive edition of the Siberia headset. The HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset isn’t even the first HyperX collaboration we’ve seen this week, as a few days ago we discovered Asus and HyperX are joining forces for the HyperXpress SSD.

The new headset looks pretty robust, featuring plenty of thick memory foam padding on the ear cushions and its leather-padded headband, and the whole thing has been custom stiched to give it an extra touch of style. The velour ear cushions are interchangeable, giving you a choice of coverings to suit your personal style and preferences. With large 53mm driver, the HyperX Cloud should be able to pack quite a punch in terms of audio performance, and it comes with a durable aluminium construction detachable microphone.

“HyperX worked with Swedish manufacturer QPAD to create a headset that delivers comfort and superb sound for long game play. This is a winning combination as QPAD is known for high-quality gaming peripherals throughout Europe,” said Lawrence Yang, business manager, HyperX. “We think the hours will pass by without notice as gamers wear the HyperX Cloud headset.”

The new headset will be compatible with PC, PlayStation 4 and mobile devices, it is now also the official headset of the Intel Extreme Masters, Alliance Gaming, CNB eSports Club, SK-Gaming and Team Liquid.
