We would like to thank our sponsors for providing us with the test equipment to perform these tests.
To allow for the fairest testing possible, I will be using as many different software applications as possible to test each drive. This ensures the most accurate results and increases the chance that it can help you making just the right drive decision.
Software used:
- AIDA64
- Anvil’s Storage Utilities
- ATTO Disk Benchmark
- CrystalDiskMark
The performance of a memory card highly depends on the card reader used. For this card, I happen to have two different card readers in the house for review, so I’ll be testing the card on both readers to see if there is any difference.
Both readers use the same chip and basic setup, so there shouldn’t be any difference. The connection is done via an internal USB 3.0 header and the connection chip is UASP compliant. This should prevent any bottleneck as we got speeds up to 450MB/s at our disposal – if the connected equipment supports it. In this case, that would be the card reader.
