Kingston SSDNow V+ Series 64GB SSD Review

As always with our testing procedures, we try to remain as clear and concise as possible to give the fairest results on every bit of hardware we review. Hard drives and SSD’s are no different, hence we use the same system hardware and software benchmarks for all tests. This allows us to show exactly how a certain piece of hardware performs.

It also gives us the ability to show a broad spectrum of hardware for comparison purposes which aids in making purchasing decisions.

We have tested a similar drive in the form of the Centon 64GBSSD25S2VS1 so will be using this as our main comparison analysis. We will also be testing it against a Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA-II 3.5” standard drive too.

Our main testing rig features the following components:

Test System
Processor (CPU) AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Motherboard Asus Crosshair IV Formula
Memory (RAM) 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1800MHz
Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB
Primary Hard Drive Kingston V+ Series 64GB SSD x 2 (Raid 0)
Power Supply BFG EX Series 1200watt
