Kingston Technology, the leader in memory products today announced that its world’s fastest dual channel memory kit, Kingston HyperX KHX2544C(D3T1FK2/2GX, was clocked at 2,902 MHz with CAS 6 and 3082 MHz with CAS 7 latencies during a heavy home over-clocking session in France.
These are the fastest every recorded frequencies for memory with CAS 6 and CAS 7 and were achieved by overclocker’s Benjamin Bouix and Jean-Baptiste Gerard using liquid nitrogen as the main cooling aid. These overclocking session were run on a Gigabyte P55 UD6C with an intel Core i7 870 processor.
This is the first time we have overclocked this module and the speeds achieved are very impressive, said French over-clocking champion Jean-Baptiste Gerard aka Marmott’. HyperX KHX2544C9D3T1FK2/2GX has the potential to go even faster but unfortunately we were restricted by CPU performance. We can’t wait until the next OC session to beat our own records!
Certainly this says a lot about the memory if they still believe it can go faster, Kingston have clearly created a memory module with lots of headroom.
