Kingston Ultimate 600x 64GB Memory Card Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

At the time of writing, the 64GB Kingston CompactFlash Ultimate 600x can be yours for $76.99 through NewEgg, £41.18 through CCL Online, or €60.61 through Geizhals.

Conclusion

The Ultimate 600x is Kingston’s top CompactFlash card that comes with a great 600x speed rating as well as a capacity of up to 64GB, plenty of space and speed for all your digital memories. Whether you shoot high framerate HD videos or burst shoot still photos, you’ll want a great performing storage card to make sure that you capture every pixel and prevent video corruption.

The Ultimate 600x easily does both that and it blasted way past its speed rating in our benchmarks. The card comes with a speed rating of up to 90MB/s, but it had no trouble reaching the 150MB/s read speeds throughout the entire benchmarks. It was also a card that kept the performance up, showing a steady line of performance no matter how full the card was. This is something cheaper NAND products have trouble with and it shows the quality in Kingston’s products.

The included MediaRECOVER software to restore deleted or corrupted files is an added bonus to the already great memory card that comes with a lifetime warranty and Kingston customer support. The price is more than fair with a cost of just £0.64 per GB unformatted storage.

“Kingston created an amazing CompactFlash card with their Ultimate 600x 64GB. It impressed us by blowing way past its official speed ratings.”
