Kolink Rocket Aluminium Mini-ITX Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Exterior
First impression go a long way with a chassis, you either love the look of it, or you don’t. Fortunately, the Rocket is drop dead gorgeous, and that dark brushed aluminium finish just oozes premium quality. Of course, at around £160 it damn well better look good. I’ve seen a lot of compact chassis like this, and this one certainly isn’t breaking new ground, however, it does look awesome regardless.
Airflow is important for your hardware, so as to provide it, Kolink have added a full panel of ventilation on the left and right side of the chassis. That means you GPU and CPU coolers will get the air they’ll require in such a compact space.
The front panel looks great, keeping things neat and tidy. There are two USB 3.0 ports at the top, with a nicely designed power button just below those.
The side panels are each mounted with four grub screws. It’s a bit of a fiddle to get them off, but much better than having large thumbscrews that would spoil the clean looking exterior design.
Dual Slot PCIe
Around the back, you’ll find two expansion slots, each fitted with reusable ventilated covers. There’s obviously the motherboard I/O mount too. However, you’ll notice a simple PSU power connector, as the PSU mounts towards the front it requires the built-in pass-through cable.
