The Lamplighters League had such potential when it was first announced as an XCOM-style turn-based stealth strategy game. Just a shame basically nobody bought the game and it even led to the publisher Paradox Interactive and the Developer’s Harebrained Schemes parting ways.
Now there wasn’t anything wrong with the Lamplighters League it even reviewed pretty well with a 7/10 on Steam the problem was just that nobody played it. It wasn’t even the price as the game has now got 50% off taking it to its lowest price of £20.99 and the game still has nobody playing it.
It’s puzzling why the game isn’t being played more, considering it offered an interesting twist on the genre. It changed the XCOM alien invasion for a more 1940s indie Indiana Jones-style adventure and it was really fun.
I’d very much recommend you give the game a go while it’s on sale as I said before it was great fun adding its own twist on the genre. You can find the game here on Steam where it’s at its lowest price yet.
