Latest Akasa Chassis & Accessories at Target Open Day

Akasa makes some of the nicest fan-less chassis on the market today, and while they didn’t have any that were entirely new, they did have their latest models out on display. They do look pretty much the same as the old models to those with an untrained eye, but the Skylake models pictured below are actually a little bit longer than they used to be. This is to allow more heat dissipation through the chassis to manage heat spikes from turbo-boost on Skylake CPUs. It’s a minor change, but a vital one.
Another new product range from Akasa is the Venom mouse pad range, obviously not the biggest innovation in the world, but the quality on them is great, and they come in sizes up to 1-meter, so they’re perfect for those who love a large gaming surface for low-DPI mouse action.
Their usual range of lighting, card readers and even a mini fan for those warm days in the office.
Their Type-C to HDMI and power delivery adapter with extra USB 3.0 Type-A Port, not the catchiest product name in the world, but it leaves nothing to the imagination on how handy this unit can be for those who seek connectivity.
Compatibility problems are even less of an issue thanks to their comprehensive range of USB cables.
Finally, their smallest yet most interesting product, a passive-cooled aluminium Raspberry Pi chassis. There are a lot of these cases on the market, but they’re often cheap and plastic, whereas this is a much sleeker solution for those who want great build quality.
