Latest Deus Ex DX12 Patch Leaves Nvidia Owners Unimpressed – Again

We recently reported that the DirectX 12 feature for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided came out of beta, and is now available to all users. However, the poor performance issues for Nvidia users seem to have persisted, and while part of that is down to Nvidia not having the strongest DX12 performance compared to AMD, there seems to have been little optimisation on the games part too.
As DSOG reports, the benchmark tool, as well as a few test scenes of the game, netted poor performance for Nvidia hardware. Tested with an Intel i7 4930K (4.2Ghz Boost), 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 980Ti, the game ran smoothly in their tests using DX11, but failed to make full use of the hardware in DX12, being unable to reach a steady 60fps.
This is a bit of a shame, but keep in mind that right now, there is no visual difference between the two APIs, so it’s not like you’re missing out on graphics, but DX12 is capable of running games better on both AMD and Nvidia hardware, so it’s a bit of a let down to see that’s not the case with Deus Ex at the moment.
