In preparation for the upcoming Nintendo Switch release, Nintendo has released new videos for the 1 2 Switch game, which is available at launch with the console. In the past, Nintendo has bundled this type of mini-game series in with the console, but this time around it is available to purchase as a standalone game.
Recently, Nintendo added 18 new videos to their Japanese website, leaving 10 of the 28 games still to be seen. These videos are available on YouTube, however, and rather strangely, they aren’t public videos. They need to be visited via a link, or watched on their website of course.
The new footage contains some rather questionable acting, although this might not be seen as a surprise, this is Nintendo after all. The acting is super cheesy, fun, hyper, everything you’d expect to see at a typical Nintendo party.
The games include a Harry Potter styled wizard battle, that sees users battle for control in a wand battle, with counters and optional dramatic death acting.
There is also a Ping Pong game, in which players are expected to hit a ball you can’t see, and again if you wish to dramatise it, go ahead, you’ll already look a bit mental trying to hit an invisible ball anyway. Get practising your over the top celebrations
Next up is a game called Soda, players in the video are seen to be holding an invisible bottle, shaking it around, then passing it to the next person. The aim from what is seen in the video, is to not be the one the bottle ‘pops’ on. This simple game will be one that may not be played too often, but will get a few giggles among the adults, i’ll leave it at that.
The rest of the videos are available on the Nintendo website, take a look!
