Taiwanese graphics card Veterans Leadtek have just unveiled their latest Nvidia based graphics card. The Leadtek GTX 780 Hurricane III is a reference Nvidia GTX 780 PCB design with Leadtek’s highly customised Hurricane III cooling solution. The Hurricane III uses a trio of frameless fans of which two are 74mm fans and the central fan is 85mm. Underneath that trio of fans is a very dense aluminium heatsink arrangement drawing heat from what appears to be four or more 6mm heat pipes.
Leadtek have opted for modest factory overclocks of 876MHz core and 928MHz boost versus 863MHz core and 900MHz boost of the reference design. Leadtek has left the memory to operate at the stock 6GHz effective speed. One six pin connector and one eight pin connector power this 3GB GDDR5 GK110 based graphics card.
Leadtek’s Hurricane III will start selling in two days on September 20th and will be priced at a similar level to reference GTX 780 competitors.
