Embargo information has been leaked which reveals information surrounding the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti
The embargo papers for the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 have been shared via VideoCardz which reveals that NVIDIA is aiming to release the RTX 4060 Ti by the end of May which would fall in line with the Radeon RX 7600’s rumoured May 25th launch. On the other hand, the lesser RTX 4060 features no information at all surrounding its release day.
Based on the information that has been compiled by VideoCardz the 4060 Ti is expected to use a PG190 board with 4352 CUDA Cores with a base clock of 2310 MHz and boost of 2535 MHz. On the touchy subject of VRAM, the card is expected to feature just 8GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus with 288 GB/s of bandwidth. When you compare these specs to the previous gen RTX 3060 Ti, it does look a bit concerning as on paper the previous generation seems to feature higher specifications. The 3060 Ti features more CUDA cores at 4864 as well as more memory bandwidth with its 8GB of GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus providing 448 GB/s of bandwidth. The current key increases are in power which drops from 200W to 160W and the boost clock on the 3060 Ti is tiny at 1665Mhz compared to the 4060 Ti’s rumoured 2535Mhz.
We’ll have to wait and see whether the pricing of this card will reflect the consumer opinions of where this card should be priced based on its specs.
