Leaked Specs Reveal Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Blackwell GPU Lineup

The upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series has seen leaks revealing exciting details about its configurations. This series, part of Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU lineup, includes several GPUs, such as the GB202, GB203, GB205, GB206, and GB207. Nvidia aims to bring significant improvements in AI acceleration and ray tracing performance with these new chips.

Key GPU Configurations

The GB202, the largest chip, is set to power the potential RTX 5090. It features 192 streaming multiprocessors (SM) or 96 texture processing clusters (TPC), spread across 12 graphics processing clusters (GPC). With an estimated 24,576 CUDA cores and a 512-bit memory bus, the GB202 supports the new GDDR7 memory standard, promising 1,792 GB/s of memory bandwidth at 28 Gbps.

Next in line, the GB203 will likely power the RTX 5080. It includes 7 GPCs with 6 TPCs each, totaling 42 TPCs or 84 SMs. This configuration provides a CUDA core count of 10,752 and a 256-bit bus interface, yielding 896 GB/s of memory bandwidth.

Mid-Range and Entry-Level GPUs

The GB205, intended for the RTX 5070, has a 6,400 CUDA core count distributed over 50 SMs. Its 192-bit memory bus offers 672 GB/s of bandwidth at 28 Gbps. The GB206, powering the RTX 5060 Ti, has 6,144 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bus, resulting in 448 GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The entry-level GB207 is designed for the RTX 5050 or 5060. It features 2 GPCs, each with 5 TPCs, totaling 10 TPCs and 20 SMs. While it uses a 128-bit memory interface, it will support both GDDR6 and GDDR7 memory standards.

The GeForce RTX 50 series promises substantial advancements in graphics technology. Although we may not see these GPUs until late 2024, the leaked specifications provide a glimpse into the future of Nvidia’s gaming hardware.
