The latest information has suggested that Nvidia is likely to launch its 40XX graphics cards at some point around October with the first model, the 4090, expected to be released this November. That is, at least, the latest theory/speculation which is clearly subject to a lot of change should Nvidia decide to, you know, actually tell us something official.
It isn’t, however, unlikely that within the next month or so, mass production of their initial 40XX graphics cards should be starting and following a report via Videocardz, it seems that the presumable flagship 4090 may already be underway. In fact, it may have started just under 2 weeks ago!
Following the publication of production schedule documentation, clear references can be seen to the Nvidia RTX 4090 which, if accurate, suggests that this entered full production on August 16th. – And while this is certainly interesting, we should note that it is a little annoying that certain aspects of the data have been obscured which would’ve likely have confirmed the full specifications including the clock speed which, to date, has merely been within the realms of speculation and leak sources.
Make no bones about it though, the 4090 is 99.9% rolling off production lines right now!
Given that this is the first production notification seen from the Nvidia 40XX series, it does seem to confirm the prior leaks suggesting that Nvidia would initially kick things off with their new 4090 graphics card with other models to follow after on, seemingly, a monthly basis. – Now, admittedly, while the 4090 is undoubtedly going to be impressive, this is not the GPU most consumers are likely going to either want to buy or can afford to buy.
So, what about models like the 4080, 4080 Ti, or 4070? Well, while the first two may land before the end of this year, the 4070 and all lower-tier models are not expected to drop until early 2023 and may even comprise Nvidia’s key product launches at CES 2023. – For the moment though, we can say fairly certainly that the 4090 is going to be the first officially revealed GPU, and more so, it’ll also likely represent their first release this November!
