DonanimHaber, a Turkish technology publication, has always been pretty accurate in the past with the leaks it reveals about unreleased products. Recently they’ve revealed details about the potential launch date of the AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics cards. According to them the Press NDA date (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the Radeon R9 290X from AMD ends on October 15th at 12:01am EST.
Apparently the NDA date was also disclosed in slides shown to the press at the GPU 14 conference. Of course there have been occasions in the past where NDA dates do not correspond with launch dates for certain products. The AMD Radeon R9 290X carries those same “risks” so anyone expecting the cards to arrive with the speculated NDA expiry on October 15th might be disappointed.
We encourage all readers to take the information with all the relevant precautions (read: not all leaks end up being accurate).
