Lenovo Expands Yoga Android Tablet Range

The Verge reports that Lenovo has released its latest Android tablets from the Yoga series – the Yoga Tablet 8 and 10 . These two tablets both use Android 4.2.2, a MediaTek MT8125 quad core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor, 1GB of RAM and 1280 x 800 resolution displays. The main feature is the strange cylindrical stand, pictured below, which allows the tablet to stand upright in a variety of positions. The cylindrical stand also features a purpose other than purely design aesthetics, it holds additional battery capacity allowing for an impressive 16-18 hours of battery life.

The best part, in true Lenovo style, is that both tablets are competitively priced for their physical size, though some might doubt the quality of the screen relative to the competiton. The 8 inch Yoga Tablet 8 costs $249 while the 10 inch Yoga Tablet 10 costs just $299. This places the two new Lenovo tablets competitively against other popular offerings like the Nexus 7 2013 Edition, which costs $229, and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9″, which costs $379.
