NVIDIA is not the only company taking advantage of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie release in December. Laptop manufacturer Lenovo is also releasing Star Wars Editions of their Yoga 920 2-in-1 notebooks. Users can choose between Rebel Alliance or Galactic empire designs. Both using the Platinum Yoga 920 as a base finish but with the logo designs at the center backing. Each Yoga 920 2-in-1 features polished CNC aluminium, built to withstand wear and tear. Plus, Lenovo uses Corning Gorilla glass to further ensure durability, despite having a thick design.
The Lenovo Yoga 920 improves upon the previous generation Yoga 910 design. It is even sleeker at only 13.95mm thick, in comparison to the Yoga 910’s 14.30mm thickness. It also features an intricate watchband hinge which accomodates the user’s angle of preference. The 2-in-1 portable also boasts 4,096 levels of sensitivity and has two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
The Star Wars Edition model comes with the 13.9-inch UHD 3840 x 2160 IPS touchscreen display, 16GB of DDR4 and 512 GB PCIe SSD configuration. Windows 10 Home is pre-loaded, and has Windows Hello function via a finger print reader for security. For the processor, it uses the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7-8550U with built-in Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Unlike the regular Yoga 920, the special Edition Star Wars version is only available in 16GB DDR4 and 4K UHD display configuration. So this means it costs a bit more than the base Yoga 920 price. Plus, the Star Wars version costs $100 more than the regular version with the same hardware configuration at $1,699 USD.
