Lenovo is adding two more options to their ThinkPad notebook lineup. These are the new ThinkPad L390 and ThinkLad L390 Yoga.
The “L” series of the ThinkPad lineup represent the more affordable “green” option in comparison to the X and T series laptops. These are usually intended more for students and big business consumers. Also in comparison to other ThinkPad series, these new L series models are thinner and more portable.
Externally, the new notebooks look identical to the previous generation L380 and L380 Yoga from last year. Internally however, the platform upgrades the CPU to Intel‘s new Whiskey Lake mobile offerings.
Users will be able to choose options such as an Intel Core i5-8265U and Core i7-8565U. Plus, users will have platform advantages such as Intel 2×2 dual-band Wireless AC 9560 support with Bluetooth 5.0.
Both notebooks have NFC support and 720p HD camera. Although only the Yoga version has a world-facing camera and IR camera for Windows Hello. Other security features include dTPM 2.0, match to host touch fingerprint sensor and a Kensington lock slot.
Otherwise, users can expect 13.3″ full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution displays, up to 32GB of RAM (two slots), and a 45Whr battery. Storage options include up to 512GB of PCIe SSD.
