Once again we see Lenovo extending its range with the addition of two new Edge series systems and a replacement for the x120e with the x121e. This latest replacement in fact only comes months after the previous model was released.
The Edge series laptops feature 13.3″ displays with a weight of 1.36kg. You can either get an Intel processor or a lovely AMD Fusion processor. Whereas the x121e offers Intel Core CPU’s but on the AMD front uses VisionPro chips but only features an 11.6″ screen but weighs the same. The x121e is able to auto-encrypt USB and SSD and has a hardware password manager.
All three laptops offer a few extras, including fingerprint readers, low-light webcams, noise-suppressing keyboards and Lenovo’s ThinkVantage Communications Utility which is designed at making them ideal for conference calls. Battery life can be up to 8-hours with their 6-cell unit (also extra).
These new models will become available this month. ex-VAT prices are around £390 for the E320/325 and the x121e starts at £262. There’s no indication of the prices of the optional extra’s.
