Lenovo Reveals Flex Series Of IdeaPad Notebooks

Lenovo recently announced a couple of new additions to its IdeaPad range of multi-function notebooks. The new Flex 14 and Flex 15 are mainstream notebooks capable of rotating their screens by as much as 300 degrees – though unlike the Yoga they can not do a full rotation and be used as a tablet.

Lenovo is trying to keep the more expensive IdeaPad Yoga as attractive as possible in relation to the IdeaPad Flex by limiting some of the Flex’s options. The IdeaPad Flex notebooks will have up to Core i7 processors, up to 8GB of RAM and resolutions of 1366 by 768 with full Windows 8. The Flex 14 can have up to 500GB of storage while the Flex 15 can have up to 1TB. Battery life on both models is around 9 hours and pricing starts from $629 for the Flex 14 and $649 for the Flex 15.

Consumers wanting a more flexible display and better hardware specifications, such as a full HD resolution, will be able to find that in Lenovo’s current IdeaPad Yoga range.
