We first saw the LEPA NEOllusion CPU cooler at Computex 2016 and now the company is ready to release and launch it after 6 months of product improvements. The new LEPA NEOllusion is a unique RGB CPU cooler that is able to give your system a look that will set it apart from the rest – and not only that, it is also remote controllable.
Where most LED featured CPU coolers simply use fans with LEDs, the LEPA NEOllusion uses LED lighting strips on the actual heatsink instead. This creates a one-of-a-kind CPU cooler that also comes with a remote control that allows you to change effects and colours on the fly, much like you might know it from LED strips and RGB light bulbs without the need for extra apps or software that might be limited to specific vendors and systems.
The new NEOllusion comes equipped with four 6mm heat pipes and uses HDT (Heat-pipe Direct Touch) for the best possible cooling and elimination of hot spots on the CPU in a faster way. The heatsink also got a special treatment with a Super Nano Thermal Conductive (SNTC) coating that helps with both oxidation prevention and better heat dissipation. All that in combination allows the NEOllusion to offer its owner a 200W+ TDP cooling capacity, making it suitable for most CPUs.
The narrow design allows users to install this CPU cooler in tight environments too such as motherboards with large high-end memory modules. The included fan is an advanced Dual Convex Blade PWM fan with a default fan speed range from 600 to 1800 RPM. In case you don’t need that much cooling and performance for your setup, LEPA also included a speed adapter to reduce the fan speed down to 400 to 1000 RPM for a silent setup.
While performance and silent operations are great, what makes this CPU cooler stand out is the lighting abilities. Users can control and adjust the colour, the brightness, and the lighting modes via the included remote control. The remote control has an effective range up to 3 meters and the sensor is placed on top of the cooler for easy targeting and usage once your system has been built.
LEPA also thought about the placement of the small remote control in a clever way as it features a magnetic silicone cover that allows you to place it right on the chassis, making it easy to store and find when you need it – which is much better than having to search a drawer or similar for it when you want to change the colour or effects.
The availability of the new LEPA NEOllusion is set for late November, but LEPA hasn’t announce any pricing yet.
