Nintendo’s Switch console is finally available for all to purchase, and while more and more of these devices are leaving the shelves, we’re slowly getting accustomed to their sleek appearance and original controller layout. However, if you’re curious about what’s inside Nintendo’s new product, you’ll be glad to know that the good people over at iFixit have decided to tear down a Switch as well as it Joy-Con controllers. What they found inside was not exactly surprising, namely an NVIDIA Tegra CPU, 2GB of RAM or and a 16Wh battery that keeps the lights on. As for the teardown process itself, it looks like it went without a hitch, which hints that repairing a Switch will not be a very difficult process.
Other noteworthy elements include a metal casting that serves to diffuse heat, a small fan and a heatpipe. The people behind the teardown made an entire video of it, and they even included X-ray shots, just in case you really want to see what’s inside the Nintendo Switch. If you ever thought about dismantling your Switch, even though it’s only been at your house for a little while, just watch the following video and save your console some pain.
