Pricing and Final Thoughts
Lexar’s NM610 with 1TB capacity can be yours for $156.09 or £143.32 through Amazon at the time of this review.
Final Thought
Lexar’s NM610 is an entry-level drive that will be suited well for office PCs, surf stations, and similar setups. While it doesn’t break any speed records nor barriers, it delivers a solid performance that is a good deal better than anything you’ll get from a SATA drive. As such, it isn’t a bad drive. However, gamers and enthusiasts will probably find the NM610 a little underpowered. That is mainly due to it being a DRAM-less design. There isn’t the boost speed which that would provide.
The endurance testing didn’t make much difference for the drive which points in the direction that it will last you a long time. The results before and after are almost the same. In fact, some are even faster after once the NAND has been ‘burned in’. All in all, a good budget oriented drive.
Should I Purchase One?
If you need a drive for your internet surf station, office PC, or similar and you can find the Lexar NM610 at a good price, then go for it. You won’t regret it. However, the prices it was listed at while writing this review seem a bit high for what you get.
