Lexar Professional 1800x 64GB microSDXC Memory Card Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

At the time of writing, the 64GB model of Lexar’s Professional 1800x microSDXC card can be yours for $89.99 at Amazon, £97.11 at Amazon UK, or for €91.80 through Geizhals.

Conclusion

Lexar created a truly amazing memory card with their 1800x and it is one that delivers a performance unlike anything else we’ve seen here in the eTeknix offices. A read and write performance above 250MB/s for a memory card as tiny as this microSDXC card is, is seriously impressive. On top of that, you get capacity option up to 128GB.

With that kind of speed and capacity, UHD 4K photo and video recordings, high-FPS photo shooting, 360-degree video, and drone recorded videos – it is all possible when using this memory card.

The card fully lived up to the rated performance figures and barely showed any deviation due to fillage. This is truly a great memory card that sets itself apart from anything else we’ve tested.

The 1800x isn’t just fast in itself, it is also fast to load and unload due to the great accessories package. Included with the microSD card is a full-size SD adapter as well as a USB 3.0 UHS-II card reader. This allows you to use the memory card in virtually any system and unloading your photos and videos for editing will be done in no time.

The added bonus of Image Rescue being included give you an added security should a file ever get corrupted or accidentally deleted. While it can’t work miracles, it has a great recovery record. The card is also backed by a lifetime warranty (10-years max for Germany), which in itself speaks for the quality of the memory card.

  • Great bundle with USB 3.0 reader and SD adapter
  • Included Image Rescue software

  • Lifetime Warranty

Cons

“The Lexar Professional x1800 sets new standards for memory cards. A serious performance and reliability for serious users.”
