Lexar has revealed several new memory and storage products at the IFA Berlin Trade Fair today. These new products are estimated to launch in Q4 2023 and include new DDR5 speed options, new M.2 SSDs, a new SDXC card and new portable storage options with products aimed at both gamers and professionals.
Lexar’s ARES DDR5 memory has reached a new height with speeds of 8000 MT/s and 8400 MT/s elevating the performance for hardcore gamers and PC enthusiasts. This memory features a premium aluminium heat spreader keeping the RAM, on DIE ECC and PMIC cool and ready to run effectively. The heatspreader is also topped with RGB which uses Lexar RGB Sync for gamers to customise it to their style.
The NM1090 is a professional Gen 5 NVMe SSD available in capacities from 1TB to 4TB and is perfect for hardcore gamers, professionals and creators. This drive delivers speeds of 12,000MB/s read and 11,000MB/s write thanks to PCIe Gen 4 technology. The drive is kept cool by an integrated Active Heatsink which includes a small fan to further keep temperatures under control.
The NM790 is a Gen 4 SSD also available in capacities of 1TB to 4TB. This drive delivers speeds of up to 7400MB/s read and 6500MB/s write plus includes HMB 3.0 and Dynamic SLC Cache. This SSD comes with an integrated heatsink to keep the system running cool plus it is compatible with the PlayStation 5.
The Professional GOLD Micro SDXC UHS-II card is available in capacities of 128GB and 256GB and leverages high-speed performance with a Video Speed Class 60 rating. This card allows users to quickly capture, play back and transfer high-definition multimedia files including 4K video with a transfer speed of up to 280MB/s.
Lexar has introduced three new portable SSDs designed to offer excellent durability, reliability and speed. The SL600 is the first of these available in 500GB to 4TB and offers blazing fast speeds of up to 2000MB/s read/write. The drive comes in a durable aluminium enclosure with a sandblasted finish. Also launching is the SL500 which is available in 512GB to 4TB offering 2000MB/s read speeds and 1080MB/s write speeds. This drive is enclosed within a sleek and compact aluminium case. Finally is the Armor 700 Rugged SSD which offers the same speeds as the SL600 but instead comes in capacities from 1TB to 4TB. This drive also comes in a rugged design with an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance plus can withstand a 3-metre drop. Each of these drives are secured by Lexar DataShield with 256-bit AES encryption.
