LG 32UD99-W 4K HDR 32-inch Monitor Now Available for Pre-Order

Demonstrated in person initially at CES 2017, the LG32 UD99-W is a beautiful 32-inch 4K monitor that boasts HDR10 standard support and is now available for pre-order. High-dynamic range offers superior blacks and colour depth compared to the usual LED panel monitor and the 32UD99-W in particular uses a premium in-plane switching (IPS) panel with a 95 percent DCI-P3 (CIE 1976) colorspace coverage. It also boasts a 350 nits rating with a peak of 550 nits in terms of brightness.

In terms of gaming credentials, the LG 32UD99-W has FreeSync support as well as having a 5ms gray-to-gray response time. The frame itself looks quite impressive, having very thin and narrow bezels on all four sides. It also has the ability to tilt -5 to 15 degrees and can be pivoted 90 degrees or adjusted up to 110mm high from the default position. Since it is an IPS panel, it features generous viewing angles at 178 degrees vertically or horizontally.

In addition to the standard monitor featuers, it also has a pair of built-in 5W speakers, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, a USB type-C port, two HDMI 2.0a ports and a DisplayPort 1.2 connector.

The 32UD99-W is available for $999 USD which actually sounds like a decent value for what you get. Full availability is not until March 28, but many retailers that specialize in photography hardware including B&H photo and Adorama in the US are accepting the pre-orders.
