LG has launched a new 38-inch IPS monitor with a curved panel. This display features a resolution of 3840 x 1600 (UW4K) with 99% sRGB coverage, and is compatible with industry-standard HDR10 high dynamic range. It has a pixel pitch of 0.229 mm x 0.229 mm and 5ms GTG response time.
Its 21:9 Ultra Wide aspect ratio provides quite a bit more space in comparison to 16:9 WQHD monitors. The curve plus the very thing bezels also helps with immersivity while gaming. LG also provides on-screen control options to divide and simulate multi-screens on the 38WK95C-W. Whether the user wants to run it in 5:9 mode, split the screen (2 to 4 monitors), or set a picture-in-picture mode, it is all possible.
Connectivity in the rear includes two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, a USB Type-C port, a headphone out jack, and a pair of downstream USB 3.0 ports. There are also two 10W speakers built-in with Bluetooth functionality.
The stand itself is ergonomic and allows for tilt (-15 to +15 degrees) and height adjustment up to 100mm. The display is also VESA mount compatbile (100 x 100) should the user prefer their own monitor mount.
The LG 38WK95C-W is now available for pre-order for $1,499.95 USD.
