LG Display, has been showing off a 5inch phone display. This phone display is incredibly unique because it offers a staggering 44o ppi/dpi making it one of the densest displays ever produced. It manages to cram a full HD, so 1920 by 1080, resolution into a 5 inch form factor screen. LG’s previous flagship display boasted 720p on a 4.5-inch panel, or 329ppi. The new 1080p panel will be released Q3 of 2012, some time after June. There is no comment from LG yet as to what this display will feature in but it seems likely it is a prime candidate for the luxury smartphone market.
