A Closer Look – Exterior

Without a doubt, this case is rather striking, and obviously that pillarless design on the front left is a big focus of the design. The three sides of tempered glass on the top, front and left join together nicely, with a small triangle support at the top corner ensuring they’re firmly in place.

This means uncompromised views of your hardware, and even now, we can see the interior of the case pretty clearly.

All glass on the front could obviously compromise on airflow. However, there’s excellent ground clearance under the case, and a full rack of cooling mounts on the bottom for fans and radiators, as well as a right side cooling mounts.

Obviously, the same is true up top, so the alternative fan and radiator mounts will be pretty much essential for airflow.

The front panel I/O is located on the bottom right of the case, which I don’t like, I would prefer it up on the top of the case. However, this makes it clear that Lian Li intended this case to sit up on top of your desk, and not on your carpet under your desk.

On the back of the case, you’ll see a large metal panel, which is heavily ventilated, with the front section allowing for fans and radiators, while the rear section allows airflow to the power supply and storage mounts.

There’s a fair bit of ventilation back here too, with some exhaust for the HDD bays, an elongated fan/radiator mount, ventilated expansion slots, and an upper and lower panel with even more ventilation.

The rear storage ventilation also has keyhole mounts, allowing the drive bays inside to be suspended from some longer key-hole mounts with anti-vibration rubber grommets.

There’s an extruded PSU bracket here too, which slightly increases the size of the PSU the case supports.
