Lian Li Addresses Issues Surrounding Defective Galahad AIOs

Lian Li has addressed customer concerns surrounding a drop in heat dissipation performance for their earlier Galahad AIO units.
Lian Li Galahad AIO Issues
Several customers reported a concerning drop in heat dissipation performance with earlier Lian Li Galahad AIO liquid coolers as far back as 2022. Several of the defective units were taken in for investigation and it has been discovered that some units went through a 2nd time soldering (flux repair) for the radiator, and QC missed that the residue might corrode with coolant over time resulting in failure possibility. This issue is expected to occur with units produced before Q1 2022 and units after that are expected to be fine and had their manufacturing process fixed to not include the corrosive residue.
Is Yours Affected?
Lian Li has urged those who purchased a Galahad 240mm or 360mm AIO before March 2022 to check the performance of the AIO and whether the S/N is before S/N202203XXXXXX. If your AIO has been found to feature the defect, you can contact Lian Li here to arrange for a replacement AIO which does not contain the defect.
I’ve only ever used one Lian Li product and that was the Uni Fan SL120s which ended up with two failing bearings and flickering RGB. Ignoring those problems, the customer support I received was excellent so it’s good to hear they are continuing on that trend by replacing these AIOs.
