Complete System

Building a system inside the Lian Li Alpha 550 was an absolute breeze. Everything is very well engineered and fits with ease. This chassis is meant to house some pretty serious hardware, so there’s plenty of room to spare on the interior.

Cable routing is fantastic, with well-placed cut-outs dotted around the chassis. Cable routing pros will love it, but even first-time system builders will find it easy to get a clean looking build here.

There’s a pretty decent amount of space for a large air cooler. With four pre-installed fans, the chassis has huge airflow at stock and is well suited to air cooled builds. Of course, there’s a freaking huge amount of room and support for big radiators, pump mounts, and much more, for those who want to go down that route.

The cable routing cover works really well and routing grommets towards the front quickly hide any fan cables. The 1080 Ti is a big card, but there’s lots of room to spare. Those wanting huge GPUs and thick radiators will have little to worry about.

With the windows back in place, the black interior hides all the boring stuff and cables. It also allows the highlights of your hardware to really pop out, and even more so for LED lighting.

The effects on the fans are nothing short of freaking awesome. They can flow through different colours with multiple lighting zones on each fan. The effects even sync up with the LED strip at the top for added flair. Of course, you can fix them to your favourite colour of choice, or even turn them off completely if you so desire.
