Lian Li Introduces the PC-Q21 Series PC Chassis

Lian Li are on a roll and they are releasing one gorgeous PC chassis after another. The new PC-Q21 is one of the smaller ones and it is designed to allow you to build a beautiful mITX build without all too many limitations. Despite the compact size and tiny footprint, the Lian Li PC-Q21 still offers two expansion slots and thereby room for thicker double-height graphics cards. That would allow you to add some pretty powerful hardware into this chassis.
The PC-Q21 is a full aluminium chassis as all Lian Li cases are, that goes for all parts including the side panel and front bezel. There isn’t any shortage of drive options in the Lian Li PC-Q21 either. You can mount either a slim slot-loading optical disk drive at the top of the chassis or you can use the same spacing to mount a 2.5-inch drive. Further, you can add either two 2.5-inch or 2.5-inch storage drives to this tiny chassis, which should be plenty for most users.
The tiny form factor does however bring a few limitation along. You’ll need an SFX-sized PSU rather than a normal ATX sized one. There is only room for one 120mm fan in the chassis, but it does come with removable dust filter for that. When it comes to graphics cards length and CPU cooler height, you’re also restricted. The CPU cooler shouldn’t be higher than 60mm and the graphics card shouldn’t be longer than 170mm. Still, with the right parts, you can build a powerful X99 based system with an AMD R9 Nano card in this chassis if you want to.
The Lian Li PC-Q21 will be available in early October at Overclockers UK for the MSRP of GBP 59.90. For now, you can check out these images and start to plan your future aluminium housed mITX build.
