Lian Li Lancool 205 Mid-Tower Case Review

Lian Li has long been regarded as one of the finest premium-quality case makers in the world. They made their name with innovative aluminium cases, and in recent years transitioned into making more steel cases. Now, it seems they’re setting their targets on making more affordable cases, and the Lancool 205 may be their cheapest case to date! However, they still have a big reputation to uphold, so I’m expecting it to be one of the best cases in its respective price range too… I really hope I’m right.

THE LANCOOL 205

It’s equipped with room for two 120/140mm fans in the front and two more of each in the top, with another 120mm in the rear. Of course, that’ll support similarly sized radiators too. There are magnetic dust filters on all the intakes too, so keeping your build clean should be a breeze. It’ll support four 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives, giving you plenty of storage. There are all the usual modern luxuries too, with a PSU shroud in the bottom, lots of cable routing space, and a tempered glass window so you can show off your new build.

What Lian Li Had to Say

“The new Lancool 205 combines premium design with excellent cooling properties. Lian Li have crafted a particularly stylish Midi-Tower case with the Lanccool 205. It includes a tempered glass side panels to let users display any components they have installed. RGB LED illumination is particularly effective as mesh inlets on the front panel create an eye catching effect when they are illuminated.” – Lian Li
