The Lancool 216 doesn’t reinvent the case market, it’s got everything you would expect from a modern high-end case, it just does it really well with higher-than-average build quality, and of course, that’s no bad thing.
As you can see, the cable routing is excellent, with those wider cable grommets easily able to accommodate our ATX motherboard, but also E-ATX if you wanted to go bigger. I would have liked a vertical pass-through for the GPU power cables, but you can dress this up with some cable ties or some braided cables anyway.
Cooler support is robust too, and while the case does support a few large radiators, the stock front fans and mesh make this well-suited for low-noise air-cooler builds. Large tower coolers will fit with room to spare, and the stock fans provide huge airflow with low noise output.
There’s room to mount more cooling up top, and there’s a blanking plate in the box too, so if you mount 2 x 120/140mm fans in the top, you can close up the remaining gap to maintain the case’s air pressure better.
Large graphics cards clearly aren’t an issue, with room for up to a 392mm card supported. You can orientate the case in horizontal or vertical configurations, but you will need a riser cable. Plus, there’s the option for two fans on the PSU shroud, and an additional fan on the rear of the case behind the GPU…
This is best demonstrated by the stock image from Lian Li, as it obviously uses an additional fan (not included) or the riser cable (also not included).
Overall though, this is a great-looking build, and the white version is really bright and makes your hardware stand out. Of course, if you want something more subtle, there’s the black version, and they even do another black version with non-RGB fans for something even more stealthy than that.
