Today Lian Li has launched their new V2 AL 120 and 140mm RGB fans as well as their V2 Strimer Plus RGB power extension cable.
Lian Li has taken their AL120 and AL140 fans and given them some solid improvements, most notably with the fan blades. Each of these fans features a 28mm thick impeller as well as a thicker frame which offers better performance. Despite this thicker frame, the fans still make use of standard fittings with 25mm screws. The fans are secured with a durable Circlip as well as magnets within the frame and anti-vibration pads to offer stability and low vibration leading to quiet operation.
In terms of performance, the AL120 V2 Uni fan offers a maximum airflow of 77.3CFM and static pressure of 2.97mmH2O, with speeds ranging from 250 – 2000 RPM. The 140mm AL140 offers a maximum airflow of 81.6CFM and static pressure of 2.80mmH2O, with speeds ranging from 250 – 1600 RPM.
As with the rest of Lian Li’s uni fan line up these fans also make use of their daisy chain design which allows for up to three fans to be connected through one cable. This design allows for easy installation and a much tidier-looking system with minimal cable clutter. The AL120 and AL140 V2 also fit flexibly around hardware such as radiator fittings, as the interlocking key mechanisms can be removed.
Both the AL120 and AL140 V2 offer stunning RGB lighting which is visible from any angle. Not only do the fan blades themselves feature RGB but the frame also features several RGB strips creating a very sharp design. The RGB and fan speeds can be controlled with Lian Li’s Connect 3 software where Lian Li have created new lighting effects specifically for these fans.
Also revealed today was the V2 variant of Lian Li’s power extension cable. The Strimer Plus combines a high quality 12VHPWR cable with a vivid ARGB lighting strip offering an aesthetically pleasing solution to power delivery. The Strimer V2 features a 16AWG gauge wire allowing each cable to deliver 600W of power perfect for the latest GPUs.
Lian Li has improved on its previous design by offering a side light strip for each cable which offers a stunning display at any angle. The diffuser lighting strips have also been reduced to a 2.1mm width which allows for each strip to stand out.
The new AL120 and AL140 V2 from Lian-Li are available now for Pre-Order from Overclockers.co.uk whilst the Strimer V2 is available now.
