Lian Li has today launched another variant of the highly regarded yet overused, O11 Dynamic PC case in the form of the EVO XL. This case comes in 38% larger than its predecessor for newer hardware whilst maintaining great airflow.
The new O11D EVO XL has expanded upon the previous EVO case but has been designed to accommodate the larger hardware solutions with a size of 522mm x 304mm x 531.9mm (D x W x H). It still offers the option to build in “Normal” and “Reverse Mode” which is between your standard layout and an inverted layout rotating the chassis 180 degrees for a unique look. With the adjustability, there is also an option to relocate the I/O in one of three positions along the bottom of the case. This relocatable I/O features 4 x USB 4.0, 1 x USB Type-C, 1x HD Audio/Mic.
The case continues on with the visual-focused design using a glass front and side panel to truly display the internals with a removable front pillar. For airflow, the case uses an aluminium mesh top and side panel, which with the XL variant the mesh opening has been increased by 14.5% for better airflow.
The O11D EVO XL supports a total of 11 fans with three 120mm or 140mm in the top, side and bottom and finally two 120mm in the rear. These fans are also aided by the quick-release design of the brackets allowing for much easier installation and removal. Alongside the fans, water-cooling enthusiasts are able to fit up to three 420mm radiators at the top, side and bottom offering plenty of water-cooling potential. Additionally, the case comes with two seal plates to prevent air pressure leaks when mounting a radiator or fans on the side, these plates can be adjusted to meet the requirements.
With its increased 38% larger size than the previous O11D EVO, this case offers enough room for almost any hardware that you can throw at it. The motherboard tray is capable of fitting up to E-ATX motherboards (under 280mm in width) as well as up to a 167mm CPU tower cooler. For graphics cards, you’ll have no trouble with up to 460mm of clearance with 8 expansion slots. Lian LI also have an upright GPU bracket for the case optimised to offer direct cooling with a chimney-style airflow. The ATX PSU slot allows for up to 200mm of clearance. Finally, there is a large range of storage options with room for up to seven SSDs or four HDDs and three SSDs. There are also two hinged hot-swappable cages capable of supporting either four HDDs or four SSDs, plus the cage can mount a 15mm thick 120mm fan for direct cooling.
The new O11D EVO XL comes in either black or white and is available for Pre-Order from overclockers.co.uk at the following price.
